A digital experience and a physical intervention share the same starting point: reading the building carefully. We consider materials, traces and details alongside design decisions and on-site construction.

We develop a conservation-led approach by considering the building’s existing condition, original qualities and intervention needs together.

04STUDIO

Who are we?

Kotaltı Architecture is a young partnership based in Bursa, developing architectural projects and delivering construction work across Türkiye. We bring professional restoration expertise together with an entrepreneurial spirit and a curiosity for new ideas.

For us, conservation extends beyond preserving a building’s physical fabric. Work on site, research in archives and digital documentation are parts of the same responsibility. We aim to safeguard materials, the memory of places and the knowledge of buildings together, approaching each project from different perspectives.

We design projects, resolve details and work on site. From time to time, we enter architectural competitions to test our ideas. Research, learning and development are central to how we work. We also share what we know and discover about architecture on Instagram whenever we can.

We take care to do every job as well as we can. We enjoy giving our work a compelling presentation—and adding a little showmanship. Experience matters to us in digital environments just as much as it does in architecture and physical space. We bring the same curiosity to a building, a virtual visit and the way an idea is told.
